North-Eastern Snyder County Joint Authority

This is a multi-municipal authority comprised of appointed representatives from Monroe Township, Selinsgrove Borough and Shamokin Dam Borough who are appointed to alternating five year terms.  The Authority monitors and maintains a former landfill located on Park Road in Monroe Township that closed in 1980 and was monitored by the PA Department of Environmental Protection until 2005.  They meet one time during the calendar year in the month of November at the Monroe Township Municipal Building.
