NO plate glass\, mirrors\, auto glass\, ceramics\, window glass\, TV picture tubes\, fiberglass\, China dishes\, earthenware\, pottery\, Pyrex cooking glass\, drinking glasses\, or candle jars. Do not break the glass. Any Blue glass may be recycled with green glass.\n4. Plastics: No’s 1—PETE and 2—HDPE ONLY—Bottle shaped; mouth smaller than body of bottle. NO motor oil\, brake fluid\, antifreeze\, or chemical containers.\n5. Corrugated Cardboard (Breakdown) and Paperboard: NO waxed cardboard. DESCRIPTION:Selinsgrove Borough Recycling Drop-Off\, 219 West Sassafras Street \nOpen Every Thursday\, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM \nFirst & Third Saturday of each month\, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM\n(Closed on holidays— NO makeup days) \n\nTin/Steel Cans: (RINSED CANS ONLY) NO scrap metal\, paint\, or aerosol cans.\n2. Aluminum: Beverage Cans (RINSED CANS ONLY). NO foil\, paint\, aerosol cans or scrap metal.\n3. Glass: Clear\, Brown\, and Green: (RINSE AND REMOVE CAPS) Jar and bottle form only. NO plate glass\, mirrors\, auto glass\, ceramics\, window glass\, TV picture tubes\, fiberglass\, China dishes\, earthenware\, pottery\, Pyrex cooking glass\, drinking glasses\, or candle jars. Do not break the glass. Any Blue glass may be recycled with green glass.\n4. Plastics: No’s 1—PETE and 2—HDPE ONLY—Bottle shaped; mouth smaller than body of bottle. NO motor oil\, brake fluid\, antifreeze\, or chemical containers.\n5. Corrugated Cardboard (Breakdown) and Paperboard: NO waxed cardboard. Examples of paperboard are as follows—toilet paper/paper towel rolls\, soda boxes\, cereal boxes\, shoe boxes\, tissue boxes\, junk mail including window envelopes\, cardboard style egg cartons.\n6. Hi-Grade Office Paper: Full sheets or shredded and placed in bags. NO plastic window envelopes.\n7. Newspapers: Must be clean\, dry\, and not tied or in bags. Remove ALL GLOSSY INSERTS and put them with magazines.\n8. Magazines\, Books\, Catalogs\, & Phone Books: Must be clean\, dry\, and not tied up or in bags.\n9. Plastics: Co-mingled— (RINSED) All plastics #4-7 (except 1 & 2 which is covered above in #4) Examples include: clamshells\, buckets (without the metal handles)\, yogurt cups\, butter cups\, lids\, medicine bottles\, hard plastics\, PVC and industrial plastic\, etc.\nJust because a # is on the product does not make it applicable—NO Styrofoam or Polystyrene.\nNO GIFT WRAP. NO PLASTIC GROCERY BAGS.\nNOTE: NO drop-off prior to or after scheduled times. For those who own property in Selinsgrove Borough but do not LIVE in Selinsgrove Borough\, your composting from the outside municipality should remain in that municipality.\nIf you have a business outside the Borough doing work for you that contains compost items\, they may take the compostable material to the site on your behalf. The resident and/or business should call to let us know this is happening since the site is monitored.
