DESCRIPTION:Selinsgrove Borough Compost Yard\, Drop-Off South End of Strawberry Alley \nWeekdays (excluding holidays) from 7:30AM—3:00PM\n1st and 3rd Saturday (excluding holidays) from 8:00AM—NOON\nThis change is necessary to help prevent illegal dumping by non-residents. Violations of illegal dumping at the compost site have increased\, which is increasing the fees to grind the debris dropped off; fees which are paid by Selinsgrove Borough residents. Any recycling/compostable debris brought to a Selinsgrove Borough collection facility is only allowed from Selinsgrove Borough residences and Selinsgrove Borough businesses. For those who own property in Selinsgrove Borough but do not LIVE in Selinsgrove Borough\, your composting from the outside municipality should remain in that municipality.\nIf you have a business outside the Borough doing work for you that contains compost items\, they may take the compostable material to the site on your behalf. The resident and/or business should call to let us know this is happening since the site is monitored. We need to know the name of the company\, make/model of the vehicle\, and the license plate to avoid the business receiving a violation letter/fine for illegal dumping.\nGarden Residue\, Brush\, & Leaves ONLY!\nPlace at locations noted by signs in the yard area. \nNO GRASS CLIPPINGS.  \nNO BAGS.  \nNO DEMOLITION MATERIAL OR FILL.\nONLY Selinsgrove Borough residents can bring the compostable items listed above\, but the resulting mulch is available to anyone.  \n  \nSelinsgrove Borough is mandated by Act 101 of the State of Pennsylvania to require its residential\, commercial\, municipal\, and institutional establishments to recycle items. A recycling fee is included with your quarterly water/sewer bill to support the Recycling Program and the Annual Spring Clean-Up. The Selinsgrove Borough Recycling program and its equipment are partially funded by PA DEP ACT 101-902 and 904 recycling grants. We encourage all Selinsgrove Borough residents to fully utilize these services.
